There are a few questions that are important to deal with when you plan a kitchen.

• Do you cook every day or do you just warm up the food?
• Which family member will spend more time in the kitchen?
• Will you use the kitchen only for cooking or will you do other activities, as well?
• Will you store food in the kitchen or will you have a pantry.
• Will you eat in the kitchen or you will you have a dinette, as well?
• Will you often have guests or will only the family use the kitchen?
• Will a cat or dog sleep here?
• Will you work on the kitchen table if you have to bring work home, or will you have a workroom?

These questions help you determine the basic concepts. So as to have a functional kitchen, you need more than that.
